Defining and non-defining Relative Clause

 

 

People are irresponsible. They don’t care about their future.

       Which people?

        All the people?

        No! Only those who don’t care about their future

 

People who don’t care about their future are irresponsible.

Defining relative clause

 

Sarah is irresponsible. She doesn’t care about her future.

Sarah, who doesn’t care about her future, is irresponsible.
